CCEF Staff Visit Texas State Capital

A national non-profit organization, headquartered in Beaumont, Texas, received honors today at the state capitol, for the work it does to provide educational opportunities to children of the incarcerated and other at-risk youth.

District 22 State Representative Joe Deshotel today presented Creative Corrections Education Foundation with a resolution recognizing the group’s efforts in promoting higher education. CCEF Founder and CEO Percy Pitzer accepted the honor, along with CCEF Media Specialist Jackie Simien.

The organization is currently providing financial assistance to 22 students enrolled at Lamar Institute of Technology.
