CCEF Staff Visit 14 Texas Department Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Prisons

CCEF staff will visit 14 Texas Department Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prisons next week and provide Power Point Presentations to the inmates and staff at the facilities. The inmates will be educated on how they can help stop second generation crime by donating to CCEF, giving young adults of the incarcerated in Texas an opportunity to attend college or trade school.
The incarcerated in ten states are definitely on board with our foundation’s mission of sending young adults to school instead of prison through scholarships and financial aid to college or trade school. To date, the incarcerated have made monetary donations of $51,000 to help fund school cost.
CCEF staff is in the process of obtaining support from all states nationwide. With 2.2 million people incarcerated in the United States, our message to them is if they donate $.50 a month, we would have 13.2 million each year to put the youth in school giving them a chance to receive higher education and compete in the business sector for better jobs.
