CCEF Staff Prepare to visit Prisons in Texas and New York!
March 17, 2016 8:30 pm
In May, CCEF staff will visit eleven Texas Department Criminal Justice (TDCJ) prisons in Region II and in June, CCEF staff will visit twenty-five New York State prisons in Hubs I through IV. CCEF staff will provide a power point presentation to the inmates at these facilities detailing how they can help young adults who have parents incarcerated in these states receive higher education by donating to CCEF.
CCEF provides scholarship opportunities to young adults who have a parent/legal guardian incarcerated in the United States. Under CCEF’s Right Path Programs, we provide financial aid to young adults in Beaumont, Texas and Milwaukee, Wisconsin and this program does not require the applicant to have a parent/legal guardian incarcerated. Our mission with this program is to help young adults receive a GED or trade certificate at Lamar Institute of Technology in Beaumont, Texas and Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
CCEF is a non-profit organization that relies on monetary donation support from private citizens, small business owners, corporations and the incarcerated.
We need public support to continue our fight in reducing the incarceration rate in America. Please go to our website WWW.CCEFSCHOLARSHIPS.ORG and donate today. You can also mail a check to CCEF at 6545 Calder Ave, Beaumont, Texas 77706. If you have any questions about our mission, please contact us at: (409) 861-2536
