We have a partnership with Associated Builders and Contractors ABC). ABC provides skill training for those in need. With this training, participants will be able to seek professional jobs which will allow them to provide a better living for themselves and their families.
Thanks to our CCEF Program Administrator Marsha Pitzer, we have 23 students enrolled in ABC.
The enrollments are in welding, Instrumentation and CORE, as well as other areas. Many of these students are currently on parole or probation. It’s much cheaper getting these individuals trained versus sending them back to prison.
We also have established a partnership with Lamar State College Port Arthur for a nine-week intensive carpentry program. We have 8 students enrolled in this program.
We have no doubt all these individuals will be able to seek decent employment upon completion. These programs have unlimited potential in reducing crime, poverty and incarceration. In order to grow this program, we are very much in need of donations from the community.
No donation is too small. I can’t think of better way to help a community than getting people trained, so they may support themselves and their families. You may make donations by clicking on the DONATE tab on this website or by mail at CCEF, 6545 Calder Ave, Beaumont, Texas, 77706.
You may call Marsha at (409) 861-2536, with any questions. Thank you for your consideration.
